Hello, my name is Celeste Van Der Merwe, and I am the proud owner of Driving Miss Daisy Kalgoorlie.

I bring over 10 years’ experience as a teacher and more than 6 years’ experience as a support worker in both disability and aged care. These roles have deeply shaped my belief in the value of people and the importance of making everyone feel seen, respected, and supported.

Becoming a Driving Miss Daisy franchise owner was a natural next step for me, as it beautifully combines many of the things I am most passionate about—being out and about in the community, meeting people, helping others, and making a positive difference in someone’s day.

I am dedicated to providing a caring, safe, and reliable service, supported by a team who genuinely enjoys helping others. Our goal is to help you maintain your independence while giving your family complete peace of mind.

We offer flexible support to suit your needs. We can stay with you and assist during appointments or drop you off and return to collect you when you’re ready.

At Driving Miss Daisy, we believe in offering a true “Daisy experience” with endless possibilities. Our service is available to everyone—young or old, men, women, and children—anyone who needs assistance with transport. Even if you are still able to drive, we can help with trips to the airport, theatre, hospital, or medical appointments when it is advised that you do not drive home afterwards.

I am passionate about helping clients create special memory moments—whether that means revisiting familiar places from the past, enjoying a scenic drive into the countryside, meeting friends for morning tea, heading to the movies, or simply turning a shopping trip into a joyful and social outing. We aim to help you stay active, engaged, and independent.

Whether you need assistance getting to appointments, hobbies, errands, or social activities, I would love to discuss how we can support you. From regular commitments such as doctor’s appointments, banking, and hairdressing, to enjoying a local café or day out, we are here to help you get there and back comfortably and safely.

All Driving Miss Daisy services are pre-booked, so you can make plans with confidence, knowing there will be no surprises.

After you submit your feedback, it will be forwarded to your local Driving Miss Daisy and, unless you have elected to remain anonymous, we will use your email address so that:

You will receive an auto-reply email confirmation.
Within 5 working days, a personalised email will be sent to you acknowledging your compliment, general feedback or complaint and giving more information about what will happen next.
We will aim to provide you an outcome of the investigations within 45 days unless that time is extended to collect information from others.

If your matter is complex it might take longer to provide you with an outcome. If this is the case, an interim response may be provided to you. If you did not provide an email address, we will attempt to contact you using the other feedback information you have given to us.
