Welcome to Driving Miss Daisy Dapto. Owner Genelle and her daughter Emma are lifelong residents of the Illawarra, deeply rooted in their community and committed to helping people live fulfilling, independent lives in their own homes for as long as possible.

Genelle brings over 20 years of experience in health and community care as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, aged care services and life member of a local community organisation. She has dedicated her career in helping people live fulfilling lives, assisting them to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible. Emma bring solid background in customer service and administration. Emma is deeply committed to enhancing mobility and independence for seniors and people with disabilities. Her vision for Driving Miss Daisy Dapto is driven by her dedication to meeting the unmet needs of vulnerable individuals in the community, offering not just transportation but also companionship and respect.

At Driving Miss Daisy Dapto, we offer more than just transportation. Whether you need assistance getting to an appointment, going shopping, meeting friends for lunch, or simply enjoying a leisurely drive, we are here to help — and make the journey enjoyable too. We’ll not only take you to your destination but also wait with you if needed and ensure you’re safely home, right to your front door.

Our personal, companion-focused service sets us apart from taxis and rideshares. Our safe, dependable, and friendly companion driving service offers far more than just transportation. From greeting you at your door (umbrella in hand for those rainy or hot days) transporting to local shops, even help you with finding specials on your weekly shopping. We go above and beyond to provide care and support tailored to your needs every time.

For your peace of mind, we are vetted by the Australian Police, trained in First Aid and Friends of Dementia, approved for Working with Children, and fully licensed and insured for small passenger vehicles and rideshare services.

We understand that limitations should never define someone’s quality of life. As part of the national Driving Miss Daisy family, we are here to enable your independence and ensure you stay connected to the community.

The purpose of this form is to collect information and, if requested, respond to you.

After you submit your feedback, it will be forwarded to your local Driving Miss Daisy and, unless you have elected to remain anonymous, we will use your email address so that:

You will receive an auto-reply email confirmation.
Within 5 working days, a personalised email will be sent to you acknowledging your compliment, general feedback or complaint and giving more information about what will happen next.
We will aim to provide you an outcome of the investigations within 45 days unless that time is extended to collect information from others.

If your matter is complex it might take longer to provide you with an outcome. If this is the case, an interim response may be provided to you. If you did not provide an email address, we will attempt to contact you using the other feedback information you have given to us.

"Driving Miss Daisy Dapto have been transporting my adult daughter on a regular weekly basis for 10 months.They pick her up from home in the morning and collect her in the afternoon to bring her home.
Being Non Verbal with other challenges my family member requires being handed over to another Support Person and collected from the same, rather than dropped off or picked up.
This service has always been punctual, communicative and most importantally kept my daughter supported and safe while allowing independance from the main carer.
All the drivers/support persons have had no problems getting past the Non Verbal aspect of their passenger and so far she appears happy to leave home in the Daisy Car and is always happy on return home. A very professional ethical business that still holds the family values that i have been comfortable in trusting the care of my vulnerable person."
