It is our pleasure to introduce you to Pete and Jo Goodwin, managers of Driving Miss Daisy Burnside SA. Pete and Jo both share a passion for assisting & helping people. With both coming from a background in health care assistance, they know what a companion service like Driving Miss Daisy can offer. Collecting you from your door, driving you to your destination and providing whatever help you need before delivering you safely home, when you want to. We are the family when family can’t be there.
Driving Miss Daisy is part of the international group in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, having provided well over 1 million trips for passengers needing our dedicated companion driving service.
Our service stands apart from taxis and ride share kerb to kerb services. We provide a safe, reliable, and friendly companion driving service offering more than just transportation. Each franchise owner and all drivers are vetted by the Australian Police, are First Aid, Friends of Dementia and Hidden Disabilites trained, Working with Children checked (WWCC) and hold a Booked Hire Service License giving you and your family peace of mind.
Driving Miss Daisy itself provides detailed operations manuals and applies stringent work health safety standards.
We recognise the importance for passengers to maintain their independence and live life to the full enjoying a safe and fun filled experience.

Exploring Op Shops with Driving Miss Daisy Burnside
It was an exciting day when our Burnside SA region Daisy, Pete, took his retired RAN Officer client, David and his coordinator out to visit three op shops, looking for a replacement for the plate he had broken from his set. They had a lovely drive to the op shops with David telling stories about his time in the Royal Australian Navy on HMAS Melbourne, Australia’s third and largest aircraft carrier.

"I have been using the service for several years now and they've never let me down! I arrive at my medical appointments stress-free , which keeps the blood pressure down :) I still drive but often find it stressful and finding a park can be difficult. The drivers/companions are just brilliant if you have mobility issues and need a hand to steady you. Unlike traditional taxi drivers, they don't hurry you. As a bonus you get some good conversation on the journey if you are in the mood for a chat. Do yourself a favour and experience the difference."

I was collected from home by lovely Kylie who was so caring & kind & helped me into my seat, making sure I was comfortable & then stowing my wheelchair.
On arrival at my destination Kylie helped me back into my wheelchair & then assisted me inside. She was there waiting for me when I was ready to go home.
I felt very safe & secure with Kylie & the car was very comfortable & clean. I will definitely be using them again. And I was so impressed that I got out my copy of the movie & watched it tonight - a great movie & a great service from Driving Miss Daisy!"
