Greetings from Nick and Helene!
At Driving Miss Daisy Ballarat, we are not only a trusted Companion Driving Service, but we are also a Registered Disability, TAC and WorkSafe Provider that helps to improve your independence, wellbeing and social connections.
Relationship and meaningful person-centred care will guarantee a safe, friendly, and reliable service. Individualised support is available for those that can’t get out and about on their own. We will be there for you when family can’t to help improve your independence, wellbeing and social connections.
At the heart of Driving Miss Daisy Ballarat, we will help tackle social isolation and loneliness by staying in touch with you regularly. We offer a companionship service whether it is taking you on a shopping trip, social outing or staying in for a chat and cuppa; whatever your preference is we can tailor our service to suit your needs.
Our personal service stands apart from taxis and rideshare kerb to kerb cars. Our safe, dependable, and friendly companion driving service offers far more than just transportation. We can take you to your local shops, even help you with finding specials on your weekly shopping, and after we have driven you home, help you unpack your groceries as well. We do not honk the horn. We greet you at your door with a trusty umbrella if it is raining or just too hot. Then we assist you in whatever way you need, until you are safely home again.
For your peace of mind, we are vetted by the Australian Police, are First Aid and Friends of Dementia trained, approved for Working with Children, and hold all the required Small Passenger Vehicle Licenses and special rideshare insurance.
We recognise that people with barriers or being older does have some limitations but does not mean our passengers are expecting a less-fulfilled life! Join us soon to see why we, as part of national Driving Miss Daisy, have the goal to enable your own independence.

"Great service & I've had the privilege of having both Helene & Nick as my drivers & have quite the conversations at times & lots of laughs! Thank you both & the wonderful team you have."

"Nick Roche; met him for the first time today when his wonderful transport service took my 85 year old Dad to several appointments. Dad's blind and I was so impressed at how well he oriented Dad to wherever he was and was going. Great conversationalist for both my Dad and me. So professional in providing handover info between medical professionals. I highly recommend Driving Miss Daisy to transport you or your loved ones."
- Danielle
"I recently had a hip replacement and needed transport to see my GP and my Physio. Driving Miss Daisy have been fantastic, their care and consideration for their passengers is second to none. Both times, the driver waited with me for my appointments, and made me feel safe at all times. The added bonus of a wheelchair is a fabulous idea for times when parking close by is impossible. I would highly recommend Driving Miss Daisy Ballarat."
- Kim
"I can't recommend Nick, Helene and their dedicated team highly enough!!! My aunt is in residential care in Ballarat and I manage her care and affairs from Brisbane. We've been using DMD for nearly 2 years now and I couldn't have managed without them, whether it be medical appointments, social engagements or simply a drive and a bit of shopping. More importantly, the dignity, care, respect and friendship they extend to their clients is warm and genuine, often going way beyond normal expectations in the service they provide."
- Amanda
"Wonderful, friendly, helpful, and well organised service. I can’t speak highly enough of this service."
- Josephine
"Really great service with friendly helpful staff highly recommended them."
- Tracey
